Job description: Job DetailsCore Accountabilities:Develop and implement business applications for processes and end users across EDGE Corporate and its entitiesManage the delivery of applications and enhancements including managing project deliverables, scope, quality, resource management, scheduling, communication, and implementation through design phase, development, and go liveDevelop and manage project plan including risk identification and mitigation, scope and budget tracking and post-implementation support planningWork closely with the Digital Transformation functional tower to define EDGE requirements and design application blueprintsOversee and lead the development of applications interfacing with EDGE systems, working across multiple stakeholders and internal teamsIdentify improvement opportunities and define the plan to drive growth and integration of the EDGE applications landscapeRecommend innovative and cost-effective software development projects and system enhancementsLiaise with the Product/Solution Management team to ensure the successful implementation across EDGE while adhering to EDGE and industry leading quality standardsOversee performance and progress of all application development projects including integration, testing and commissioning activities, as per planned timelines, milestones and project objectives in coordination with the IT PMO sub-functionAssist in change management and the proactive adoption of application platforms through the development of strategic, targeted employee facing communications at all levels of the organization that demonstrate the value of best practices over current state work processesPerform any other duties as requested by the reporting managerProvide input towards budget preparation for the function/sub-functionIdentify training and development needs of direct reportsProvide constructive feedback to direct reports and provide inputs to the function and functional tower lead on performance of employeesMaintain knowledge on new and existing KPI requirements and its linkage to corporate KPIs and EDGE’s strategic performance management framework and scorecardExperience:Minimum 15 years in Business Application DevelopmentExperience in UAE or Middle East is desirableEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related fieldMaster’s Degree in Information Technology or a related fieldCompany DescriptionLaunched in November 2019, the UAEs EDGE is one of the worlds leading advanced technology groups, established to develop agile, bold and disruptive solutions for defence and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation.
