Job description: Our client is currently seeking an M365 Software Developer for a part-time opportunity in Washington, DC, with remote work on a flexible schedule.OverviewThe M365 Software Developer will design, develop, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions, focusing on enhancing productivity and collaboration for a U.S. Government program. This position involves working closely with stakeholders to deliver secure, innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. Must hold a Public Trust Clearance.Responsibilities
- Design and develop Microsoft 365 solutions based on business requirements.
- Customize and extend SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, forms, and document management systems.
- Create Power Apps and workflows using Power Automate for custom business applications.
- Develop and maintain integrations with other systems via API or database connections.
- Enhance collaboration and communication capabilities within Microsoft Teams, including customizations.
- Implement security best practices to ensure data protection and compliance with government standards.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 applications, resolving issues and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure compatibility with a Zero Trust environment.
- Prepare user documentation, provide technical training, and attend customer meetings as needed.
- Deliver weekly project and issue reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years with a Master’s degree).
- Expertise in developing SharePoint, PowerApps, and M365 solutions for government environments.
- Strong understanding of government security standards, data governance, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with PIV/CAC authentication and working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to various audiences.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint design and development.
- Experience with N-tier web applications, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and related tools.
- Familiarity with Agile and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Cloud development experience and strong teamwork skills.
