As a Logistics Officer, you will handle day-to-day logistics operations, procurement, and documentation while ensuring efficient coordination with suppliers, warehouses, and customers across the Middle East and Africa. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, import/export regulations, and excellent data analysis and communication skills to streamline operations and optimize efficiency.Job Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Macros, including filters, V-Lookup, Pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Procurement & Demand Forecasting: Analyze stock levels and market needs, place global orders with suppliers (Asia & Europe), and manage back orders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare import/export documents in compliance with destination country requirements and regulations (Incoterms 2020, HS Codes, COO, and customs formalities).
- Coordination with 3PL Warehouses: Oversee logistics activities with third-party warehouses and ensure smooth coordination.
- Shipment Management: Arrange and track shipments for customers across the Middle East and Africa.
- Legal Contracts & Insurance: Draft and manage warehouse and insurance contracts, and ensure compliance with relevant property and risk insurance regulations.
- KPI & Budget Planning: Analyze key performance indicators and assist in the planning of operational budgets.
- Continuous Improvement: Adopt a Kaizen mindset for operational improvements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Engage with various stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and addressing complex issues.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field + Diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role, preferably in JAFZA or any other Free Zone.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Letter of Credit analysis, Bank Guarantee, and procurement techniques. Must be aware of MENA & Africa region regulations.
- Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with high accuracy in daily operations.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multinational environment and maintain customer-oriented services.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to changing priorities, including the possibility of extended hours when needed.
- Additional Skills: Quick learner, and self-problem solver, with strong organizational skills.
- Age: Less than 30 years old.
