​About This Opportunity

We seek a Librarian to enhance client-focused library services within the Faculty Services Librarian Team. Reporting to the Manager of the Science EAIT Faculty Team, this role delivers proactive, discipline-based scholarly information services, ensuring the library supports UQ’s learning, discovery, and engagement objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

Conduct information literacy programs collaboratively across campuses, adapting to flexible learning environments.

Contribute to delivering high-quality services to all library clients.

Maintain accurate records and data entries in library management systems.

Offer support to researchers on research data management, bibliometrics, and research planning.

Provide guidance on library resources, including discovery tools and databases.

Assist in collection development in line with the university’s teaching, learning, and research objectives, and contribute to library documentation and projects.

About You

Qualifications eligible for associate membership in the Australian Library and Information Association.

Experience in academic, special, or research libraries, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Awareness of current trends in research, learning, and teaching in academic institutions.

Knowledge of information resources, services, and publishing trends in academic libraries.

Proficiency in using current tools and technologies for information service delivery.

Ability to provide flexible information assistance and literacy programs, understanding research output metrics, and using various computer applications for learning material development.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
