We have an exciting opportunity for a Leisure Services Officer to join our Active & Creative Communities team.
As our new Leisure Services Officer you will make a difference daily by providing efficient and effective planning and operation of Council’s sporting reserve facilities including liaison with sporting and leisure clubs and the general community. Key responsibilities will include seasonal and annual licence agreements, management of casual bookings for the use of Council’s sporting reserves and facilities, support sport and recreation groups, coordinate and present various seminars and forums for tenant sporting clubs, recording of statistical data, coordinate the Recreation and Leisure Committee, meet with State Sporting Associations and Community Sporting Leagues and act as the liaison point between Council and sporting clubs. You will report directly to the Coordinator Sport & Leisure.
This is a temporary (until September 2024) full time role based at Knox Civic Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.
This is a Band 5 classified role, remuneration will be $75,948.26 – $88,363.93 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will need to thrive
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Degree or Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant experience within the leisure, sporting or recreation industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in managing competing priorities.
