Job description: Responsibilities:Coordinate with the Facility Management to ensure that the services provided are of a satisfactory standard, and that all Centre’s general services are carried out in accordance with Safety guidelines and procedures.Provides safety orientations to contractors to ensure safe work practices are followed on site.Conducts safety induction sessions for new staff, advising of safe methods of working and assessing potential hazards prior to commencement of and during the progress of work activities.In collaboration with the Facility Management, ensures essential central services such as catering, security, maintenance, cleaning, transport, waste disposal, pest control, and recycling are effectively planned and resourced throughout the year.Ensure the school site, buildings, and grounds at all times, are in accordance with the current health and safety guidelines.Collaborate with the Relevant External Authorities (ie. ADEK, Civil Defense, etc) to conduct field visits to determine the extent of the NECC-AD’s compliance with the health and safety standards followed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and to follow up on the observations/recommendations to ensure effective implementation in a timely manner as required.Carry out regular safety and security inspections of the Center’s facilities, systems and equipment, including clinic/first-aid rooms, construction areas, electrical systems, vehicles, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants to ensure compliance with the current health and safety legislation and/or guidelines as issued by the authorities or by NECC-AD.Initiate and conducts emergency evacuation drills, prepares observation checklist and report for evaluation upon fire drill.Conduct Risk Assessments and develops strategies for facilitating employees’ and students’ health and safety risks.Prepare and maintain inspection records and produces reports that suggest improvements.Establish mechanisms to meet international standards i.e. Quality Management systems (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and safety Management (ISO 45001)Required Skills:A minimum 3 years of experience in a role related to health and safety, preferably in an educational environment.Knowledge of Fire and Safety systems and equipmentKnowledge of AL ADAA System (an electronic application for occupational health and safety -OSH)Knowledge of AutoCAD.Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline is required. A professional certification in National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) certification, Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) or equivalent. English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)Arabic (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
Expected salary: 14000 – 16000 per month
