Job description: Innovate to solve the world’s most important challengesAs a Lead Field Service Technician- Fire, Access Controls and Security- here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Fire, Access Controls, and Security systems. You will lead a team of service technicians, ensuring the timely completion of installations, maintenance, and repairs for our customers. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.You will report directly to our Service Manager and you’ll work out of our Des Plaines, IL Honeywell locations.In this role, you will impact the safety and security of our clients by ensuring that their systems are functioning optimally and meeting their needs efficiently.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of service technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Fire, Access Controls, and Security systems
  • Can program more than one system
  • Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches
  • Run one off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer
  • Provide technical support to customers and resolve complex issues
  • Ensure all work is completed on time and meets quality standards

The annual base salary range for this position is $69,700 – $87,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven 2 yrs experience in installing and servicing Fire, Access Controls, and Security systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to travel throughout service areas with occasional overnight stays
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to Honeywell standards

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • NICET certification or ability to test within 90 days
  • 5 yrs experience in related field
