Job description: Our esteemed client in Franklin County, PA is looking for a Lead DevOps Application Architect to join their organization. The Lead DevOps Applications Architect is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities within the organization’s software development and application architecture function. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of complex applications, ensuring organizational needs are met and that products are continuously improved. This role will manage a team, ensure adherence to coding and development standards, and drive the selection and implementation of appropriate development methodologies and technologies.Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with IS management to shape enterprise application strategy and architecture, selecting the right application development systems, operating systems, servers, and storage systems to meet critical business initiatives.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with business analysts to clarify analysis and design questions, provide development estimates, and deliver technical project results on time.
- End-to-End Project Management: Take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of high-complexity projects, including project planning, research and analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, training, and documentation, all while adhering to established IS standards and procedures.
- Enterprise Engagement: Actively engage with the enterprise as required, ensuring alignment with the business.
- Complex Development Projects: Lead the execution of complex information systems development projects, partnering with non-technical business project leaders.
Required Skills:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Strong grasp of OOP principles, with experience applying them in application development.
- .NET Framework & .NET Core: Extensive knowledge of the .NET Framework and .NET Core, with a deep understanding of various components.
- Cloud & API Management: Expertise in cloud data platform architectures and API management tools.
- Proficiency in C#: Strong proficiency in C# and its application within enterprise-level software solutions.
- Web Development: Familiarity with ASP.NET and .NET Core for web development, including Web Forms and MVC approaches, along with understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Database Management: Strong knowledge of ORACLE and SQL Server; proficient in writing and fine-tuning SQL queries.
- Debugging & Problem Solving: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving programming issues using debugging techniques and problem-solving approaches.
- Unit Testing & Code Validation: Familiarity with creating unit test plans and executing test cases for code validation.
- API & Service Integration: Experience with developing and integrating third-party APIs and web services into applications. Familiarity with WCF services.
- Code Optimization: Ability to write efficient, optimized code to ensure high application performance.
- Security Best Practices: Basic understanding of application security principles and practices to protect sensitive data and develop secure software.
- Documentation & Communication: Ability to write clear documentation for code, APIs, and technical processes; strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentoring: Capable of mentoring junior developers and guiding
Expected salary: $115000 per year
