Compensation Range: $28 – 33 per hourWe are seeking a strategic and passionate Lead Buyer to join our client’s Stores Merchandising Team, with a focus on Women’s Apparel for Inline Stores across the North America geography. This role is pivotal in driving consumer-right assortments and influencing future seasons while delivering in-season success. The ideal candidate will bring a strong business acumen, a deep understanding of trends and consumer behavior, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.Responsibilities:
- Lead the Women’s Apparel buying strategy for North America Inline Stores.
- Represent the Stores team in key leadership and cross-functional meetings.
- Curate and adapt assortments using data, analytics, and real-time market feedback.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including:
- Stores Merchandising Leadership
- Geo Consumer Merchandising
- Planning & Allocation
- Visual Merchandising
- Store Operations
- Brand Marketing
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a progressive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
- Act as an advocate for the team, offering structured coaching and feedback to peers and individual contributors.
- Manage multiple seasons simultaneously while balancing future planning with in-season read & react actions.
Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree or additional 2 years experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
- Strong affinity for current market trends and how apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace
- Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience
- Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others
- Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action
- Ability to travel up to 10%
