As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving category performance through strategic vendor collaboration, stock planning, pricing control, and promotional campaigns. You will oversee all business operations related to assigned brand portfolios-from onboarding and assortment expansion to P&L ownership and marketing monetization. This cross-functional role bridges sales, merchandising, inventory, and marketing teams, ensuring business growth and high vendor satisfaction.Key Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L of assigned brand accounts and drive revenue achievement as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of new brands and address selection gaps through proactive business development
  • Grow market share of each brand and category in alignment with company objectives
  • Ensure timely merchandise flow, stock visibility, pricing accuracy, and promoter availability
  • Coordinate across internal teams (merchandising, ops, finance, inventory, and digital marketing) for seamless vendor execution
  • Establish and enforce SOPs to ensure operational hygiene and process consistency
  • Analyze sales, profitability, and conversion metrics to optimize portfolio performance
  • Act as a single point of contact for vendor partners, managing performance reviews and business plans
  • Build joint business plans and align brand partners on marketing investments and ROI
  • Track and deliver monetization targets through brand marketing, campaigns, and events
  • Present internal and external brand reviews with data-driven insights and action plans

Job Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree required; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in key account management or retail category management
  • Proven track record of launching categories, scaling brand partnerships, and managing revenue portfolios
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication capabilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a high-paced retail environment
  • Knowledge of vendor operations, retail merchandising, pricing, and inventory control
