As a Junior Sous Chef at Jumeirah Dubai, you will oversee kitchen sections, support menu innovation, and ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes in line with the brand’s culinary reputation. Working closely with the Sous Chef, you will also supervise junior staff, maintain operational excellence, and drive training across the team.Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality food according to menu standards and recipes
  • Support the Sous Chef in maintaining food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Monitor kitchen operations and report issues to ensure smooth daily performance
  • Contribute to menu development using seasonal ingredients and creative concepts
  • Assist in training team members and maintaining individual development plans
  • Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP practices across the kitchen
  • Ensure team adherence to policies, procedures, and guest service standards

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related qualification from a recognized culinary school
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality kitchens, including leadership exposure
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines, fine dining, and kitchen management
  • Skilled in recipe development, food costing, production workflows, and plating techniques
  • Passion for mentoring, team development, and service excellence
