We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our client’s team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring the company’s finances run smoothly.Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, IFRS), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Handle daily accounting tasks, including but not limited to reconciliations, accounts payable, and receivable, and ledger maintenance.
- Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making corrections to journal entries for account discrepancies, preparing closing journal entries, post accrual entries, and other items.
- Process and review expense reports.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting/finance experience.
- Experience within the tax, auditing, or accounting industry in the UAE is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
