Job description: SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Staff Member to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our Arbor Park center The ideal candidate will be responsible for various cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing all areas of the facility, including restrooms, classrooms, and common areas. Additional duties include replenishing supplies, operating custodial equipment, managing inventory, and performing minor maintenance tasks.Duties

- Sweep, wet, and dry mop, strip, buff and wax floors; participate in stripping floors.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpet; remove spots and stains from carpets; advise on replacement
- Clean restroom floors, walls, sinks, urinals and commodes; replace toilet paper, towels and soap, wash and polish fixtures; clean windows and mirrors.
- Replenish classroom cleaning and supplies as needed: paper towels, towels and soap, hand sanitizers, cleaning supplies.
- Clean and wash countertops and fixtures; set-up tables and chairs and move furniture; dust furniture, desks, woodwork and blinds; clean academy doors and windows; replace light bulbs and ceiling tiles (as applies to classrooms, lobbies, gym and office areas).
- Remove paper, trash and garbage from assigned areas and place in proper containers for disposal; set containers out for pickup and removal at assigned times.
- Operate custodial equipment such as: buffers, vacuum cleaners, shampoo machines and floor strippers, and other Custodian industry equipment as required.
- Review and reorder academy inventory and cleaning supplies; work with academy office staff to conform to budgetary needs.
- Patrol grounds around academy area, pick-up paper, cans, trash and debris; clean walkways; sweep as needed. (Grounds keeping needs to be completed all year round)
- Shovel and remove snow and/or ice around academy pathway areas as detailed and needed; salt ground to prevent slippage and falls as required.
- Dust all HVAC vents and AC units within academy areas.
- Complete maintenance request for each center location which consist of: Replacing light bulbs, repair furniture and replace faucets.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- 2+ years within a commercial cleaning environment
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Successful completion of the required background checks including Child Abuse, Criminal
- and FBI

Expected salary: $14.5 – 15 per hour
