- Responsible for conceptual development and improvement of Web based logistics information dissemination systems as well as evaluation of existing DoD logistics information dissemination systems and procedures.
- Develops and implements approved plans, objectives, policies, procedures, and guidance required to ensure the Agency’s websites are in compliance with those of DOD and DLA.
- Incumbent ensures sites and applications implemented via the Web have the standard DLA design and are compliant with DOD/DLA policy.
- Conducts periodic process/product quality assurance assessments/reviews in accordance with the DUS/DLA policy and the Internet and Web Development Oversight.
- Reviews code, tests, debugs and runs the computer software developed in response to user requests.
- Provides Web support ensuring procedures and documentation are in compliance with Agency Web standards Incumbent utilizes such Web design software as Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET, and Team Foundation Server.
- Reviews, researches, and analyzes current DLA Web processes and products; recommends modification as required; coordinates all reviews and recommendations prepares reports of findings and recommendations for submissions.

QualificationsTo qualify for an IT Specialist (INET), your resume and supporting documentation must include:A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off /closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Designs, develops, and modifies applications software using Java, and ASP.NET utilizing C#.
- Analyzes and refines system requirements.
- Translates systems requirements into application prototypes.
- Designs and plans systems architecture.
- Writes, debugs, and maintains code. Determines and designs application architecture.
- Determines output media/format.
- Designs web-based user interfaces.
- Plans, tests and implements applications software.
- Works with customers to test applications.
- Assures software and systems quality and functionality integrates hardware and software components.
- Evaluates new applications software technology. Implements database communications utilizing Oracle and Transact SQL.
