What You’ll Do:

The Office of Management Information Systems is seeking a project management professional to assist the agency in managing information technology projects that cover all phases of project management. Applicants must clearly indicate in the work history/education section the job duties performed that relate to the minimum qualifications of the position listed below. The primary job duties of this job include:

  • managing assigned information technology projects that cover all phases of project management
  • a focus on testing, monitoring and modification of delivery to end user
  • assisting in writing policy and directing, implementing and monitoring policy and ensuring compliance
  • developing and directing development and implementation of planning documents (e.g., resources, specific assignments)
  • serving as agency representative for project in public forms (e.g., focus groups, other state agencies, county agencies, media, federal government, legislature) and making project presentations to educate/train end users
  • managing and processing procurement documents (e.g., selects appropriate processes, devises scope/material/product, establishes selection criteria, conducts bidder conferences, directs evaluation of bid/proposals and makes recommendations, represents agency to controlling board, executes valid contract and manages request for proposal, quote and information and invitation to bid)
  • interviewing stakeholders to determine needs and expectations and maintaining regular contact with stakeholders to market product or service and obtain feedback

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or related field; 12 mos. exp. in Information Technology; 12 mos. exp. in project management. Or 3 yrs. exp. in Information Technology; 12 mos. exp. in project management.
