Overview:
An IT Buyer, ( Purchasing Agent ), will play a critical role in procuring technology-related goods, services, and equipment for an organization’s IT operations by ensuring that the right technology solutions are acquired efficiently to support the organization’s goals.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Selection and Negotiation:
– Research and evaluate potential vendors based on factors such as product quality, pricing, reliability, and service.
– Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals.
Inventory Management:
– Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
– Ensure timely replacements, upgrades, and disposal of outdated equipment.
Procurement Process:
– Process requisitions from various departments for IT-related purchases.
– Update management on the status of orders and delivery timelines.
Technology Trends and Market Awareness:
– Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and market dynamics.
– Understand how new solutions can enhance the organization’s IT capabilities.
Risk Assessment and Compliance:
– Assess risks related to technology purchases (e.g., compatibility, security, legal compliance).
– Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration:
– Work closely with IT teams, department heads, and stakeholders to determine procurement needs.
– Align technology purchases with organizational goals.
Expected salary: 14000 per month
