The Islamic Studies Teacher will deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned instruction to primary and middle school students. The successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment while promoting deep understanding and respect for Islamic principles, values, and heritage.Key Responsibilities
- Teach Islamic Education A and B to students in Primary and Middle Years
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and student needs
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, adapting teaching methods when necessary
- Use innovative and interactive strategies to support spiritual, moral, and academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives
- Maintain classroom discipline while promoting a respectful and inclusive environment
- Provide feedback to students and parents, and participate in school meetings and events
- Engage in ongoing professional development through GEMS CPD programs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies or a closely related field
- Valid teaching certification or equivalent qualification
- Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Primary and Middle School levels
- Familiarity with international curricula and multicultural learning environments
- Proficiency in classroom technology and digital learning tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student-centered learning
