Provides recommendations on the implementation of internal controls and loss prevention initiatives in the area of inventory management. Plans, coordinates, and provides periodic training to facility managers and personnel, to include but not limited to: retail inventory accountability, calculating value of inventory, inventory turnover ratio, computerized inventory management, proper inventory procedures and year-end inventory implementation. Trains managers on the calculation of inventory values. Ensures that corrective actions were implemented on any inventory discrepancies noted. Maintains direct liaison with all managers and assists on inventory related problems. Monitors inventory databases for indications on trends in inventory management program and provides statistics to managers. Analyzes problem areas in inventory management and provides necessary recommendations. Ensures that internal controls are implemented in the tracking and disposal of retail assets. Reviews and recommends revisions to standard retail and warehouse inventory concepts. Makes recommendations on the implementation of internal controls, loss prevention initiatives and on any other area of retail inventory management.Supports the store replenishment effort through coordinating general inventory and merchandise flow, partnering with store personnel to ensure replenishment is executed in a systematic, on-brand way. Ensures backroom/warehouse standards are maintained. Responsible for receipt, inspection, quality control, ticketing, picking, consolidation, storage, stocking, price marking and packing of merchandise in and out of the storage/warehouse facilities.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. EVALUATIONS:QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years experience in inventory management. Comprehensive knowledge of standard retail and warehouse inventory concepts and procedures. Knowledge of business management or management accounting concepts. Excellent organizational, communication, coordination, training and problem resolution skills. Knowledge of personal computer and program applications. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid government driver’s license. Must possess analytical ability.
