Saint Joseph Academy has a position available for an Interim Tier I Technical Support Technician beginning at the end of March and continuing for 8-12 weeks. Job Title: Interim Tier I Technical Support TechnicianReports to: Technology DirectorHourly Rate: $18-$22/hrFLSA status: Non-ExemptPosition Overview The Tier I Technical Support Technician is responsible for the technical support of end-user hardware, software and break/fix services for the Saint Joseph Academy community. He/she will work with the Information Technology Director and Tier II Technical Support Specialist to provide timely resolution of incidents, or escalations to appropriate technical staff, for end-user technology support to faculty, staff and students. This is an interim position beginning end of March 2025, for 8-12 weeks. Essential Skills • Strong break/fix troubleshooting skills are a must • General network maintenance and break/fix troubleshooting skills • Basic knowledge of Chromebooks • General knowledge of current Windows and Mac operating systems • Must work well with minimal supervision and be able to manage multiple tasks • Ability to work with and communicate with high school students, parents, employees, etc. • Must provide quality customer service to all technology usersPrimary Duties and Responsibilities • Identify, diagnose and resolve Level One problems for faculty, staff and student; communicate solutions to end-users and escalate support requests to Tier II Technical Support as needed • Set up and assist in the configuration of end-user PC desktop and laptop hardware, software and peripherals. • Manage student Chromebook program and related insurance claims • Maintain and circulate mobile technology carts • Perform event/meeting setup for technology requests • Maintain an accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and other related equipment and printers • Manage copier and printer support – toner replacement, outside repair calls, toner recycling, etc. • Assist in troubleshooting products in the Google Apps suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc) • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Pursuing associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field • Previous technical support experience a plus • Must be able to work the hours of 7:30am – 3:30pm Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter.
