Job description: Responsibilities:Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation and control systems on new-build vessels or during repair and retrofit projects.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on instruments, control systems, and related equipment to ensure optimum performance.Integrate various automation systems on board, such as engine control systems, power generation, HVAC, ballast water treatment systems, and alarm systems.Monitor real-time data from instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with performance standards and safety regulations.Ensure that all instrumentation and control systems meet international maritime safety standards and regulations.Maintain detailed records of equipment calibration, repairs, and maintenance.Assist with system upgrades and retrofits by identifying new technologies and recommending solutions to improve system efficiency and reliability.Provide training to ship crews and other technical staff on the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.Offer technical support during ship operations and assist with operational troubleshooting.Conduct regular inspections and assessments to check for wear, calibration drift, and potential issues in control loops.Required Skills:Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Marine EngineeringProven experience (typically 3-7 years) in Automation / Network engineer.Marine/ Shipbuilding / Offshore experience Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), sensors, and automation systems.Min 4-7 yrs
Expected salary: 5000 – 8000 per month
