Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a motivated Infrastructure Services Engineer to work in a collaborative, iterative development environment. In this role, you will work with an amazing team of highly skilled system, software, and hardware engineers who are leading the industry in ground system solutions. These programs provide development, integration, operations and sustainment for next generation, cutting-edge satellite ground systems.

The ideal candidate will have platform migration experience and/or Private Cloud Service experience (i.e. AWS) for multi-tenant cloud-based ISP/ASP architectures; and experience with Service-Based frameworks for third party application development.

This is an onsite role and is based in Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Performing functional decomposition of requirements to meet system and domain level needs

Developing and maintaining requirements and User Manuals

Participating in system engineering artifact reviews

Conducting performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies

Defining external and internal interfaces

Managing and maintaining assigned documents in accordance with established systems engineering and configuration management procedures

Supporting the team in preparation and conduct of program reviews

Completing assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with COTS networking, compute or storage equipment sizing, design and deployment

Design experience using Virtualization (ESXi, Vmware, Linux, etc.)

Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment

Experience in development of test architecture and/or framework

Experience in systems engineering process development and/or deployment

Experience in technical baseline administration

Experience working as part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Hardware, Integration and Verification team

Experience with the design, development, testing and operational support of large-scale IT systems, to include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Storage as a Service (STaaS), and Database as a Service (DBaaS) elements

Platform migration experience and/or Private Cloud Service experience (e.g., AWS) for multi-tenant cloud-based ISP/ASP architectures

Experience with Service-Based frameworks for third party application development

Development experience on a government contract

Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements database

Experience with Jira / Confluence

North Texas:

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD – 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
