Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) – Level 5 of EBA * 9 day fortnight
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
- Location: Strathpine
This role sits within the Strategic Infrastructure Planning department which is charged with the responsibility to produce and manage the implementation of strategic infrastructure planning and policy frameworks, integrated infrastructure network strategies, plans and projects and the development and amendment of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan.
About our opportunity
As our Infrastructure Planner you will work within a highly professional and skilled team working on the strategic planning and infrastructure planning projects to meet the needs of our growing community.
We will look to you to provide technical advice, respond to queries and undertake planning tasks to support the delivery of strategic infrastructure planning projects, including conducting research and analysis and preparing reports and associated documents.
You will have the opportunity to offer technical input into the development and implementation of key policy relating to the planning scheme, infrastructure planning, significant major projects, and key placemaking activities.
About you
We are seeking someone who is passionate about working for the community we serve and driven to achieve high quality outcomes. You will bring knowledge and experience in strategic land use and infrastructure planning practices. You’ll also bring:
- Experience in applying relevant state and local government legislation, ideally including the Planning Act 2016, SEQ Regional Plan, Council planning schemes, local laws and policies.
- Well-developed research and analysis skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Organised, efficient and have excellent time management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- A relevant degree in a field such as engineering, planning, or other relevant field.
- Strategic infrastructure planning experience would be well regarded.
