Job description: Responsibilities:
1.To prepare the HSE plan and PQP (project quality plan), Method Statement & Risk Assessment for our on-going projects.
2.To handle the safety issues of technical team on site during the execution at electrical substation of HV work (11 & 33 KV) and other electrical works.
3.To manage & prepare all safety issues related to the company personnel, sub-contractors and clients (including but not limited to personnel safety and hygiene, fire prevention and firefighting, lifting technique, hazard identification etc.).
4.To manage and attend the safety meetings, prepare incident reports, toolbox meetings and keep a proper filing for all safety activities.
5.To improve the overall safety plan of the company and inform the Team Leader about any discrepancy or damage.
6.To attend and supervise the implementation of HSE rules on site for the on-going projects.
7.To detail accidents and safety issues within an occupational setting. To work with managers and other personnel to investigate incidents, offer solutions, and follow up to ensure that the issue leading to the incident has been addressed and corrected.
8.To lead safety audits to identify possible hazards and address potential accidents. To resolve issues revealed by these audits and cooperate with third party auditors to do so.
9.To develop safety policies to minimize risks, outline safety procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance with the Ministry of health.
10.To conduct training sessions to promote HSE standards, audit processes, and compliance requirements across all departments. Provide clear explanations of health and safety laws and regulations, outline safety procedures, discuss preventive strategies, and address any employee concerns.
11.To Plan, schedule, and execute internal & external HSE audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018).
12.To act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating HSE certification and surveillance audits, and ensuring all documentation and processes meet compliance standards.
13.To oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems in line with ISO standards and industry best practices.
14.To identify non-conformities during audits, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely closure to maintain certification complianceRequirements:
1.Education: Electrical Engineering degree or diploma. Holding certified Certificate in HSE
2.Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HSE and holding certificate as competent electrical person, able to handle work permits in HV electrical substations (11KV up to 33 KV). Previous HSE experience in EGA , ADDC/AADC , Oil & Gas is preferred
3.Required Skills: HSE training certificate / Basic Fire Fighting & Basic First Aid Training Certificates/ NEBOSH & OSHAD certifications
4.Knowledge of English language, Presentable with Computer applications knowledge (MS office, MS windows) And
