Job description: High School Science Teacher – Providence Preparatory AcademyGeneral Position DescriptionProvidence Preparatory Academy is a Christian, Classical, Collaborative-Model School now hiring passionate, professional, and skilled science teaching staff for the high school grades. Logic/Rhetoric Level (6th – 12th grade) teachers will be on campus 3 days/week.Responsibilities and DutiesInstruct students in a biblical worldview in word and deedInstruct students in the richness of your subjectCreate and execute lesson plansCommunicate effectively with parents (co-teachers) regarding student progress and satellite day assignmentsQualificationsThe following qualifications are required for any applicantA Christian exhibiting spiritual growth and involvement in one’s local churchA love for learning, a love of teaching, and a passion for inspiring students in similar pursuitsHold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a field related to the course to be taughtAbility to articulate the Gospel and integrate it into lessons and classroom cultureAbility to communicate effectively with parentsThe following qualifications are desired for all applicants, but not requiredTwo years of teaching experienceExperience with the classical model of education and classical curriculaProficiency in web-based school management softwareProficiency in Microsoft Office softwareCompensationTeacher salary is determined based on qualifications and experience. The rates are competitive with current pay rates for similar private education in the Wilmington Area. No health or retirement benefits are included at this time.Salary: ~$5850 per class taught. Minimum of two classes.Schedule: Monday to Friday; only on campus for instruction on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Expected salary: $11700 – 30000 per year
