Job description: We are currently seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our organization. As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees in the workplace. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety regulations, developing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees on health and safety practices.Responsibilities

- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide advice and guidance on health and safety issues to management and employees
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports outlining the causes and identifying preventive measures
- Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees to raise awareness and promote a safety-conscious culture
- Maintain records of health and safety inspections, trainings, and incidents
- Collaborate with departments to develop emergency response plans and ensure their effective implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Health and Safety Officer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and raise awareness on health and safety matters
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and reports
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) will be a plus
Expected salary: 6200 – 6500 per month
