Job description: Key Responsibilities:
1.Certification Management Strategy & Planning: Lead and manage the global product certification process within the Ductile Iron (DI) industry, ensuring all products meet required industry standards and regulations. Develop and implement certification strategies for new and existing DI products, ensuring a streamlined process for approvals and certifications globally.
2.Product Certification Process Oversight: Oversee the execution of certification processes, ensuring they are timely, accurate, and compliant with relevant standards within the Ductile Iron industry. Work closely with product development, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure all required documentation and testing are completed before submission for certification.
3.Global Certification Management & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulations and certification requirements specific to the Ductile Iron (DI) industry, ensuring the company adheres to all regional and international standards. Monitor and manage compliance with certification standards, conducting regular reviews and audits of product certifications.
4.Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product management, R&D, legal, and supply chain teams, to ensure smooth certification processes for DI products. Build and maintain relationships with certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations to stay ahead of changes in certification requirements. Provide expert guidance and support to cross-functional teams regarding certification requirements and best practices within the DI industry.
5.Certification Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records and documentation related to product certifications, including applications, approvals, and testing results.
6.Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the certification management team, providing support for their professional development and ensuring team performance aligns with departmental goals. Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation in the product certification process within the team.
7.Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Identify potential certification risks and take proactive measures to mitigate issues that could delay or prevent product certification.
8.Resolve complex certification-related challenges, working closely with internal teams and external certification bodies.
9.A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Requirements
1.Minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in product certification, regulatory affairs, or quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
2.Mandatory: Extensive experience in managing global product certification processes within the Ductile Iron (DI) industry, including navigating regional regulatory frameworks.
3.Proven experience working with international regulatory bodies and third-party certifying organizations specific to the DI industry.
4.Strong understanding of global product certification standards and regulatory requirements across the Ductile Iron (DI) industry.
5.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple certifications and deadlines simultaneously.
6.Proficiency in certification management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
7.Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
8.Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across departments and external organizations.
9.High level of attention to detail and a focus on compliance and risk management.
