With over 300 employees across seven locations worldwide, COMPANY is able to support customers in real time in over 150+ countries.General Function: The Global EHS Manager will work with all levels of the organization to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, develop and implement safety and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a world-class culture of safety and environmental stewardship across COMPANY. The Global EHS Manger will use a proactive approach to manage risks and ensure the well-being of all associates and the surrounding environment and plays a crucial role in preventing incidents by implementing systematic approaches, safety protocols, and training programs. The Global EHS Manager is accountable for the success of all aspects of the EHS Program across COMPANY operations and should plan to visit various COMPANY facilities on an as needed basis, as budget allows.Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing, communication, and implementing environmental, health and safety policies, programs, and procedures for all COMPANY locations.
- As the Subject Matter Expert for EHS, work with senior leadership to plan and execute robust strategies for EHS culture enhancement and continuous improvement.
- Lead the successful implementation and sustainment of all COMPANY Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives at all COMPANY locations.
- Conducts regular risk assessments to identify and eliminate occupational risks, putting an emphasis on identifying and controlling Potentially Serious Injuries or Fatalities (PSIFs).
- Coordinating with associates and managers to eliminate or reduce risks identified in risk assessments and monitor their ongoing sustainment.
- Prepare, schedule, and deliver training to all associates, including New Hire Orientation and all required EHS trainings based on local Safety and Environmental Standard and company requirements.
- Use of EHS Software Enablon as the primary recordkeeping system for EHS-related activities, including, but not limited to incidents, action plans, compliance tasks, audits, inspections, Find It Fix its, Behavior Based Safety Observations, hours worked, and KPIs.
- Investigate all EHS related incidents, applying root cause methodology to establish robust countermeasures and corrective actions. Ensure any incidents requiring escalation are appropriately and timeously escalated as per company policy.
- Process workers compensation documentation and serve as main liaison with COMPANY compensable insurance carriers and any other relevant parties.
- Monitor and enforce employee conformity to COMPANY Safety Programs.
- Advise the company’s operations and facilities team on safety and/or compliance issues when planning for projects and changes to operations.
- Regular cadence of meetings with leaders and safety champions at international sites to ensure compliance with all COMPANY and local EHS policies as well as continuous improvement of safety culture.
- Assist Facilities team with risk management responsibilities including fire suppression systems, addressing facility insurance recommendations (working with COMPANY’s property insurer, FM), and emergency response protocols.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all requirements for storage and disposal of Non-Hazardous, Hazardous, and Universal Waste.
- Responsible for maintaining Air, Wastewater discharge, and Stormwater Permit, as well as any new permits that may be required as business needs change.
- Serve as Green House Gas (GHG) Champion for COMPANY, working directly with each COMPANY site and COMPANY Corporation to ensure all utilities and consumption information is accurately recorded in tracking application, Resource Advisor, and sustainability projects are being planned and tracked.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local environmental regulations and requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Traditional Lean Continuous Improvement experience or Lean Six Sigma experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
- Safety leadership or coordinator experience within a manufacturing environment.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required.
- CPR/AED/FA Instructor certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months of starting.
- CSM, ASP or CSP certifications preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required
Expected salary: $105000 – 115000 per year
