Job description: Job Summary:Our client is a leading environmental engineering firm based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert geotechnical analysis and design for a variety of environmental and infrastructure projects within the UAE. This role requires a strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, and construction practices, with a focus on delivering sustainable and environmentally sound solutions.Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough geotechnical investigations, including site investigations, soil testing, and data analysis.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earthwork construction.
- Design and analyze foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
- Provide technical support during construction, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Utilize geotechnical software and modelling tools to perform advanced analysis and design.
- Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project success.
- Stay up to date with the latest geotechnical engineering practices and technologies.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant UAE regulations and environmental standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable geotechnical solutions.
- Manage geotechnical aspects of environmental remediation projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably within the UAE or the GCC region.
- Proven experience in conducting site investigations, soil testing, and geotechnical analysis.
- Strong knowledge of foundation design, slope stability analysis, and earthwork construction.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar.
- Excellent understanding of UAE construction practices and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Language Requirements:
- Essential: Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Desirable: Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken).
