Job description: The OrganisationThe hospital is a 300-bed public hospital that treats over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients every year.The hospital provides acute care services and is the major referral centre for North and North West regions of Tasmania. It is a teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania. There is a strong emphasis on medical education, the hospital is currently accredited as a training hospital by the RACP.The Job
- You will be joining an exceptional team supporting a regional community in the heart of Tasmania
- You will be responsible for the admission and care of patients and liaison with specialist medical staff regarding patients
- You will attend specialist ward rounds and participate in the supervision of residents, interns and medical students
- Be involved in research, quality improvement activities and educational activities
- This position will require participation in after-hours work and in an on call roster
- Fixed term, full time day working 80 hours per fortnight with on call to commence February 2022 until February 2023

Requirements
- General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of four years of post-graduate experience
