The ideal candidate will be skilled in all aspects of masonry work, including concrete, blockwork, pavers, and finishing, with a strong focus on leadership and project management. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team, ensuring the highest quality standards and safety on all masonry projects. You will work closely with project managers, estimators, and other trades to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to specification.Key Responsibilities:Foreman/Supervision:
o Lead and manage a team of masons and laborers, delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring productivity.
o Oversee the daily operations on job sites, ensuring all team members follow proper safety protocols and adhere to project timelines.
o Ensure that all masonry work is performed to high-quality standards, according to blueprints and project specifications.Masonry Work (Concrete, Blockwork, Pavers):
o Perform a variety of masonry tasks, including laying blocks, bricks, stone, and pavers, as well as pouring and finishing concrete.
o Set foundations, install walls, patios, driveways, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry structures.
o Mix, pour, and level concrete, ensuring the proper application of materials and techniques.
o Install decorative and functional concrete features, such as stamped or colored concrete.Finishing & Detailing:
o Ensure proper finishing of masonry surfaces, including smoothing, grouting, sealing, and jointing.
o Inspect finished work for accuracy, quality, and appearance, ensuring all projects meet company standards and customer expectations.
o Address and correct any imperfections or issues with finished work as necessary.Planning & Project Management:
o Assist with project planning, including estimating material needs, timelines, and labor requirements.
o Work closely with project managers to develop schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
o Maintain detailed records of job progress, materials used, and time tracking for team members.Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, local building codes, and company policies.Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mason, with significant expertise in concrete work, blockwork, pavers, and masonry finishes.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or foreman role, managing teams and overseeing multiple projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of masonry tools, materials, techniques, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Ability to estimate material and labor costs, and effectively manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions, including lifting heavy materials.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in both residential and commercial masonry projects.
  • Knowledge of advanced masonry techniques or specialized finishes.

Requirements:
Requirements for this position are that you have:
(1) a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; and
(2) the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.Next Steps:
