Key requirement
- Relevant qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years solid accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills, proficiency with MS Office suite
- Excellent communication skills, time management-able to plan, prioritize and organize
- Strong problem-solving abilities and numerical aptitude, accurate with attention to detail, able to work under pressure and deadline driven, able to work independently and in a team
- Strong planning, analytical, reconciliation skills
Key responsibility
- Process monthly journals in Sage as per schedules(provisions, preference shares, pre payments, long-term rentals, petty cash and procurement cards, payroll and ad-hoc journals
- Capture additions (new assets) and disposal in the fixed assets register
- Calculate and process monthly depreciation
- Agree fixed assets register with trial balance and Syrinx listing
- Compile list of disposals and additions
- Admin of insurance claims
- Collate and prepare necessary documentation for claims
- Communicate progress of claims to all stakeholders
- Reconcile stock valuation, debtors, revenue and VAT monthly
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and submit within the due dates
Expected salary: R360000 – 420000 per year
