About the role – The College is seeking an experienced professional to manage the Facilities at the College. You will assist the Business Manager in managing the grounds team, facilities, equipment and risk management systems to:
- Ensure the health and safety of students, staff and visitors
- Maintain standards of safety and function of facilities and equipment
- Establish high standards of presentation
- Ensure timely responses by College management to emerging issues and future needs.
- Coordinate and supervise contractor engagements for regular College maintenance services including but not limited to fire inspections, pest controls, electrical safety checks, oval maintenance, and plumbing inspections.
- Coordinate the activities of the College cleaning contractor ensuring routine compliance with contract specifications and organize ad-hoc cleaning requirements.
- Administer and maintain the College secure key/access system.
- Apply knowledge of employment conditions and workplace health and safety to all aspects of work undertaken by the assigned facilities and grounds team.
A Certificate IV in WHS would be an advantage.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
