The team
The Evidence Services team provides evidence collection, management and analysis services using various databases and litigation support tools to assist ASIC’s regulatory teams to review and present evidence in courts and other bodies.
The role
As an Evidence Services Analyst, you will be required to undertake evidence processing tasks using early case assessment and litigation support tools such as Nuix Workstation, Nuix Discover, Relativity, EDT and other related technologies. You will also be accountable for:
- providing timely, accurate and effective extraction, processing, filtering, analysis, and export of evidentiary material collected by ASIC
- Ensuring continuity of evidence whilst receiving, storing, maintaining, retrieving and disposing of evidence and information
- assisting with the preparation and compilation of criminal briefs, providing matter support and undertaking case administration tasks
- demonstrating data and digital skills, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Outlook), relational databases (MS Access) and reporting tools
- complying with document control, privacy and security principles and guides relating to the handling of confidential information
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- experience in eDiscovery, legal services, professional services or operational/data processing environments
- experience in the use of litigation support tools and awareness of computer forensics principles is highly desirable
- experience and skills in managing stakeholder and service delivery expectations
- ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes
- communication skills (verbally and written) to present information to different audiences
Qualifications in information technology, computer science or data analytics is required.
