Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) – Level 3 of EBA5 * 9 day fortnight

  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join our small, dynamic events team and provide quality administrative and event support to help us deliver well run, fit for purpose events!

As our Events Support Officer you will support our team of 4 with planning, coordinating, delivering and reviewing Council’s event programs, special events and projects – including:

  • Civic Events,
  • Corporate Events,
  • Community Events, and
  • Facility Openings

We will look to you to manage the effective administration and delivery of contracted event services and sponsorship agreements, prepare correspondence and reports, ensure budgets and timeframes are met, and provide professional flexible support across the greater department.

About you

This role is a great opportunity for you to bring your experience in admin and event support, and learn and grow from the expertise in our team.

A natural communicator, you will be confident in interacting with various stakeholders and building those quality working relationships. You will be proactive and self-motivated in nature and understand the need to remain adaptable and flexible.

Your well-developed organisation skills will be demonstrated through your experience in coordinating and managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.

Due to the nature of this role you will need to be willing and able to occasionally work outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
