- Assess measures to be taken to improve installation environmental programs.
- Inspect hazardous waste accumulation points for proper compliance to program requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to management for compliance and improvement to hazardous waste guidelines.
- Recommend solutions to management on emergency spill situations or failures to comply to hazardous waste regulations.
- Assist first responders in hazardous waste guidance and pollution prevention.
RequirementsConditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license and a Forklift Certification.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.
- A Hazardous Waste Certificate and Department of Transportation Certification is to be acquired within one year of employment.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- The incumbent must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds when necessary.
- Travel Duty (TDY) is occasionally required.
- This position has been designated “Mission Essential”.
- Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations.
- May be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends, i.e., mandatory overtime, irregular and/or rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends; subject to recall to duty.
- Incumbent must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)ORSuperior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on: (1) Class Standing – Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR
