**Internal applicants are required to upload a resume to their application**Responsible for the management and support of enterprise applications. This responsibility will include implementations, upgrades, integrations, and support of enterprise applications. In this role, the Enterprise Application Developer will develop application interfaces for integration purposes and perform custom web application development using CMSD-preferred software development methodology, programming guidelines, and standards. The Enterprise Application Developer will regularly collaborate with end-users, functional teams, and vendor technical support teams to deliver software solutions that advance CMSD’s goals and objectives.Responsibilities
- Provide application support for CMSD’s Enterprise Applications
- Perform configuration changes, integration development and monitoring of the various enterprise applications
- Monitor all application and integration related jobs and tasks
- Serve as liaison between functional users and vendor technical support personnel to resolve issues
- Coordinate testing and implementation of periodic system releases, hot fixes or software patches
- Review software Release Notes in advance to prepare functional teams for changes and assist in updating documentation, preparing training material and communicating changes
- Perform custom web application support and development using CMSD preferred software development methodology, programming guidelines and standards
- Document developed software applications in accordance with development standards and procedures and maintain documentation currency
- Participate in the creation of application development guidelines and standards
- Comply with IT change management and production control guidelines, processes and procedures as it pertains to movement of software codebases across technical environments (e.g., development, test and production)
- Participate in project management, architecture and design process for applications
- Remain current on software application trends and development and delivery methods
- Perform on-call support as defined by management
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited university, preferably in a technical discipline
- 5+ years of overall application development experience using full software development lifecycle methodology
- 3+ years of experience in application and web development using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML/XHTML/DHTML, XML, JavaScript, DCOM, VBScript, and CSS
- 2+ years of experience with enterprise-level application implementation, support and integration
- Experience in the use of various IDEs, such as Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, and Eclipse, etc.
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and management techniques (preferably Oracle or MS SQL 2008 and higher)
- Experience in data structure design and data extraction techniques using SQL queries, store procedures or modern tools
- Knowledge of application security including authentication, authorization and data encryption methods
- Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with end users to meet given goals and objectives
- Ability to train team members on application design, functionality and architecture
- A personal sense of accountability around the ultimate success of CMSD transformation
