About the role

The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and assists in the provision of safe, evidence based, person centred nursing care in line with the policies, procedures and standards of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and other statutory authorities.

The Multi Purpose Service model (MPS) exists in smaller communities and is aimed at integrating a range of health services including acute care, subacute care (including respite and palliative care), emergency, allied health, primary health and community health services under one management structure.

If you have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
  • Recent experience in an acute nursing environment and successful completion of Principles of Emergency Care certificate for Enrolled/Division 2 OR Recent experience in an acute nursing environment and willingness to obtain Principles of Emergency Care certificate for Enrolled/Division 2 nursing within 12 months of commencement OR Recent experience working in an acute nursing environment, and relevant previous experience in an Aged Care setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement, person centred care and evidenced based practice
  • Understanding of, and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse
