The ideal candidate will be passionate about English language education, with a strong ability to foster reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in young learners. The teacher will create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, and language proficiency.Key Responsibilities:Lesson Planning and Delivery:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Teach English language skills, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and oral communication.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, discussions, and multimedia resources to enhance student engagement.

Classroom Management:

  • Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure that students are focused and respectful in the classroom.
  • Organize classroom activities effectively to maximize learning time and ensure that all students are engaged.

Assessment and Student Development:

  • Regularly assess students’ progress through quizzes, assignments, projects, and exams.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance and areas for improvement.
  • Offer additional support to students who may require assistance with language development.

Encouraging Critical Thinking and Creativity:

  • Encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and express their ideas in both written and oral formats.
  • Use creative and innovative teaching strategies to make learning enjoyable and effective.
  • Guide students in developing strong written communication skills, including essays, creative writing, and reports.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with fellow teachers and school staff to align educational goals and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Attend school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities as required.

Curriculum Enhancement:

  • Contribute to the development and review of the English curriculum to ensure it meets the academic needs of students and reflects current best practices in language teaching.
  • Incorporate diverse and culturally relevant reading materials and writing activities that reflect global perspectives.

Extracurricular Involvement:

  • Participate in school events, such as book fairs, language clubs, and writing competitions.
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities that promote language skills and literacy, such as drama, storytelling, or debate clubs.

RequirementsQualifications:Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literature, or a related field.
  • A teaching certification or equivalent credentials is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Previous ( 3 to 5 years teaching experience) in English for Grades 4-6 (preferred).
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and varying levels of language proficiency.

Skills:

  • Native English speaker with a strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for teaching.
  • Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and foster student growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
