The English Teacher – British Curriculum Abu Dhabi UAE will deliver high-quality secondary English instruction using the British curriculum framework. The teacher will foster strong literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills among students while actively contributing to the school community.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging English lessons to secondary students
- Support learners in reading, writing, speaking, and listening development
- Incorporate differentiated strategies to accommodate diverse learner needs
- Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school-wide initiatives
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external qualifications such as GCSEs
- Organize or support literacy-related events and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English or B.Ed with PGCE in English or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English in a secondary school, preferably within a British curriculum setting
- ECTs are welcome and supported through NQT, QTS, and iPGCE programs
- Strong classroom management and creative instructional skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to extra-curricular involvement and whole-school engagement
- Availability to join in August 2025
