This role involves teaching students from [insert grade levels] in a [specific curriculum, e.g., British, American, IB], and providing them with the tools to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. The English Teacher will foster a supportive learning environment that encourages academic growth and personal development.Eligibility Criteria :
- (Bachelor’s degree in Education +Specialization) OR ( Teaching Diploma +ADEK+ Bachelor’s degree)
- ILETS band score of 7 required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in UAE (American Curriculum)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in English, catering to students’ varying abilities.
- Curriculum Implementation: Follow and contribute to the development of the school’s English curriculum.
- Student Progress: Assess and monitor students’ progress through regular testing, assignments, and classroom observations.
- Lesson Planning: Develop creative and engaging lesson plans that focus on enhancing the core skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment.
- Supportive Learning: Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses and provide targeted support for those who require additional help.
- Feedback & Communication: Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain regular communication with parents regarding academic performance and behaviour.
- Assessments: Design and mark exams, assignments, and projects, and track student progress effectively.
- Collaborative Work: Work closely with other teachers, administrative staff, and the school’s leadership team to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, events, and school initiatives, where applicable.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (required).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent) (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an English language teaching role (preferably in a school setting).
- Strong understanding of language development and pedagogy.
- Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written).
- Familiarity with the curriculum being taught (e.g., British, American, IB) (preferred).
- Classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to a diverse range of learners.
- Organised and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Creativity and passion for fostering a love of literature and language among students.
