As an Engineering Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance and urgent repairs across hotel systems, tools, and equipment. You’ll support property operations by ensuring that all engineering procedures comply with Marriott’s safety and service excellence standards. This is a great opportunity for experienced technicians with a background in luxury facilities management.Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical equipment
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and suggest repairs or replacements
- Monitor and calibrate gauges, meters, and control systems for accuracy
- Identify and operate shut-off valves during emergency procedures
- Maintain maintenance inventory, tools, and documentation
- Ensure safe storage of materials and compliance with fire and safety codes
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow team members on repair schedules
- Operate power lifts and heavy-duty equipment where needed
Job Requirements
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree in engineering or related field
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a hotel, resort, or similar environment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied physical environments (stairs, ladders, slippery surfaces)
- Knowledge of building automation systems, safety protocols, and repair techniques
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and emergency call-outs
