The Job
· The Emergency Medicine Registrar is responsible for managing the care of all patients presenting to the Emergency Department in consultation with the responsible Registrars, Consultants, Visiting Specialists, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
· You will provide effective and accurate clinical handover of patient care at the change of daily shifts and on admission.
· As an Emergency Medicine Registrar, you will commence discharge planning at the earliest opportunity, writing accurate and timely discharge summaries and follow-up consultations with the patient’s normal carers and GP.
· Keep high quality, readily accessible records of patient care through the completion of Electronic Medical Records.
· You will be responsible for the supervision of medical students and Interns as directed by the Registrars and Consultants
· Be involved and actively contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement activities and education activities.

Requirements
· MBBS or equivalent
· Current registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
