Job description: Job Summary Under general supervision, responsible for leading the implementation of Employee Health and Safety programs, policies, management systems and strategies in support of two facilities in the region.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesPartner with local leadership to develop and maintain compliant safety programs and audit processes and programsDevelop and implement safety initiatives to reduce the frequency of EHS incidents and claims at locationsSupport facilities in conducting incident investigationsAssist in ensuring regulatory and safety training is completed and lead training sessionsLead Safety Committee teams and meetingsPartner with HR and Workers Compensation representatives for claim follow-upComplete annual regulatory reporting (environmental and safety) on behalf of locations as needed and maintain regulatory documents (environmental, safety)Assist in administration of hazardous material management and corporate responsibilityPrepare reports and communications related to EHSRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Business or a related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety with a Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety without Bachelor’s degreeProficient using Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience applying OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and environmental and safety regulationsPosition requires exposure to the environmental/atmospheric conditions: Indoor conditions, cold/hot temperature changes, wet, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust and mechanical / electrical / chemical hazardsPosition requires travel up to 30% of the time for business purposes to another facility in ConnecticutPreferred QualificationsCurrent First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens and/or AED certificationEHS related training/certifications (OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, ASP, CSP, CIH)Experience applying Safety and Environmental Regulations and Compliance managementBilingual in English and Spanish.Medline Industries, LP, and its subsidiaries, offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.The anticipated salary range for this position: $73,840.00 – $107,120.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
