Job description: Manpower Engineering is partnering with a well known building material manufacturing company that is seeking a EHS Manager to sit out of their Fontana or Shafter, CA plant, having responsibility for three California-based locations through coordination of EHS activities and programs. This position will be onsite 100% of the time.

Pay Range: $120-130K
What’s the Job?
- Guide Environmental, Health, and Safety activities at three California locations.
- Drive and guide on-site EHS support that leads the plant’s EHS management system through
- proactive engagement with the location EHS program champions.
- Assist Director of EHS – Residential with the creation and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Lead incident investigations, development of corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned.
- Ensure the findings of accident investigations, safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments are brought to the attention of leadership and others who may be affected.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a related field required.
- Certified Safety Professional, (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist, (CIH) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of work experience in workplace environmental, health, and safety program management.
- Working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations, policies, programs, PPE, environmental policies (EPA), safety engineering, accident/injury investigation procedures and operating rules, etc.
