In this role, the EHS Manager will lead efforts to ensure workplace safety, environmental compliance, and a culture of stewardship. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory standards, improve processes, and minimize risks.Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Compliance:
- Develop and enforce environmental policies focusing on waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
- Manage permits, prepare reports, and participate in ISO 14001 EMS program administration.
- Safety Leadership:
- Design and implement safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement industrial hygiene practices.
- Program Development & Training:
- Develop comprehensive EHS programs and deliver training sessions to employees on safety and environmental practices.
- Coordinate emergency response plans for incidents such as spills and workplace hazards.
- Compliance Monitoring & Incident Management:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA).
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with local agencies.
- Performance Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Track and analyze EHS metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, community organizations, and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental and safety roles, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulations.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, or ASP/CSP are highly desirable.
