Field Based

Territory Coverage: Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania (except for Philadelphia metro), and West Virginia.

Position Summary:

Ensure appropriate market access of commercially approved Taiho products across all payer segments and integrated healthcare delivery systems.

Performance Objectives:

  • Ensure appropriate access for Taiho Oncology products with public and private payers, Managed Care Organizations, Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBMs), and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
  • Ensure appropriate placement of products in payer, physician network / large group, and Disease Management Companies’ treatment pathways / guidelines.
  • Develop and execute on account plans centered on customer and patient needs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to fulfill customer needs.
  • Lead initiatives with state oncology physician and practice manager societies.
  • Develop and maintain a network of key payers, providers, Managed Care Organizations, PBMs, and IDNs influencers.
  • Communicate approved Taiho Oncology information, materials and programs.
  • Closely work with and support Field Sales with access issues and education.
  • Monitor, assess and engage formulary, coverage, utilization review and benefit design policies impacting access to Taiho Oncology products.
  • Communicate with Management on customer/market trends and competitor activities.
  • Oversee assigned specialty pharmacies, conduct regular business reviews and manage all aspects of TOI’s relations.
  • Monitor state-level policy and advocacy activity/issues and facilitate appropriate stakeholder communication/networking.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in science and/or business-related discipline, or the equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 8+ years oncology pharma / biotech experience.
  • 3+ years oncology payer / IDN account management experience.
  • Relationships with decision makers and key influencers within payers, state oncology societies, IDNs, PBMs, and large physician networks/practices.
  • Development and execution of payer / provider account plans.
  • Experience supporting oral oncology product and therapy delivery
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage high level customers and decision makers.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility and a proactive approach.
  • Solid understanding of the oncology care delivery macro-environment.
  • Understanding of oncology reimbursement, including orals, and the payer customer segment.
  • Experience in assessing and communicating oncology access issues to external customers.
  • Learning agility to acquire solid product and disease state knowledge to facilitate effective customer communications.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical-related data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operational knowledge of MS Word, Power Point and Excel are required.
  • Requires frequent domestic travel, including some weekends.
  • Major airport access.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $204,850 – $241,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
