The candidate will lead the design and implementation of solutions that support international accounting and reporting requirements across diverse asset classes and portfolio types.The Opportunity:· Architecture and Design:o Lead the architecture and design of scalable, high-performance .NET web services to support investment accounting and reporting solutions.o Ensure solutions align with business requirements, international accounting standards, and best practices.· Development Leadership:o Oversee the development of web services and integrations with investment platforms like ePAM, Portia, and Clearwater.o Mentor and guide development teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.· Platform Integration:o Design and implement APIs to integrate investment accounting systems with other enterprise applications.o Support multi-asset class reporting, reconciliation, and analytics through seamless data integration.· Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:o Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.o Coordinate with QA and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and operational stability.o Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance scalability and reliability.· Documentation and Best Practices:o Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, design decisions, and development practices.o Define and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and architectural guidelines.This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.What You Need:· Technical Expertise:· Strong experience in .NET Framework/Core, C#, ASP.NET, Web API, and RESTful services.· Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle· Investment Accounting and Platforms:· Experience working with investment accounting platforms like ePAM for Investments, Portia, or Clearwater.· Understanding of financial instruments, portfolio structures, and international accounting/reporting standards.· Leadership and Project Management:· Proven track record of leading development teams and managing project lifecycles.· Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.· Soft Skills:· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and present architectural solutions effectively.· Preferred Qualifications:· Certification in .NET, cloud computing (Azure/AWS), or investment accounting.· Experience with other asset management tools such as Thinkfolio, SimCorp, or BlackRock Aladdin.· Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.Role Location: CaliforniaCompensation Range: $108,000-$163,000BenefitsFull-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines.
