Temporary Employee is responsible for arranging their own parking upon 1st day of hire.Supports the firm’s legal staff by coordinating the design, development and maintenance of software, databases and custom applications. Uses advanced project management skills to divide projects into tasks and assigns them appropriately. Delivers high-quality software solutions that meet the business needs within established project deadlines.Provide advanced application development with proficiency in the .Net development stack plus report creation with SSRS and Power BI.Develop custom software solutions using various development tools and techniques including web technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, REST API, and PowerShell.Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint applications, sites, and workflows, using SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and related technologies.Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, provide technical support, and ensure optimal performance of SharePoint applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and end-users to understand requirements and deliver tailored SharePoint solutions.Develop and implement governance policies, best practices, and guidelines to ensure the proper usage and maintenance of SharePoint environments.Ensure continuous support for existing legacy systems while leading their modernization using innovative technologies and best practices.Create and consume robust APIs that seamlessly integrate with diverse systems and cloud services while prioritizing security, efficiency, and scalability.Exercise advanced project management skills to break projects down into tasks and work units and to coordinate the daily workloads of Developer I and II’s, and/or consultants.Follows-up on assignments to make sure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.Participates in the maintenance and development of all new and existing legal databases and applications.Uses knowledge of relational database technology to help automate processes that maximize employee productivity.Installs new software occasionally.Understands and uses coding, imaging, and/or workflow software.Demonstrates the ability to solve advanced technical problems.Responds to user requests and issues escalated from the firm’s support team in a thorough and timely manner.Is on call on a scheduled basis for up to a month at a time, 24 hours a day; while on call, remains in a position to receive support calls and answer them quickly and thoroughly in a professional manner.Participates in the disaster recovery team and may be called upon to help implement that plan.Uses a working knowledge of the legal environment in order to determine how the legal process can benefit from automated software solutions or application development.Tracks time worked in specified intervals, billable and non-billable, and submits time records as scheduled.Keeps supervisor abreast of current issues and potential problems as they develop; seeks advice as needed.TECHNICAL SKILLS
.NET VB, ASP.Net, and Java Script
Relational Database Programming — Database design and data management
VBA and VB script coding
HTML/CSS coding
SQL Server Reporting Services/Power BI or Tableau
Proficient in jQuery, CSS, REST API, and PowerShell
Familiar with Razor syntax for server-side rendering in ASP.NET Core
Experience in building interactive web applications using Blazor
Technical writing
Application Architecture DesignRequirements:Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in computer science or a related discipline; or four to five years VB/SQL experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SharePoint certifications, such as Microsoft Certified SharePoint Developer or Microsoft 365 Certified Developer Associate are preferred.
Expected salary: $45 per hour
