Performs difficult administrative work overseeing and supervising student behavior to maintain an educational environment conducive to learning, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the principal. Essential Functions
Supervises and oversees student body; oversees and supervises halls during travel times, activities, and lunchroom during lunch periods to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Assists with the administration of student discipline and the enforcement of district and building policies and procedures.
Communicates with parents and other interested parties regarding student behavior and attendance; provides status updates.
Supports teachers with instruction and student management.
Oversees and coordinates building testing and assessments.
Facilitates and reviews student behavior and attendance; submits attendance concerns to the County.
Creates daily schedules.
Provides supervision for afterschool activities and events.
Facilitates family engagement program.
Coordinates and monitors student achievement and basic skills teaching teams to improve student achievement.
Serves as the district’s administrative representative in special education meetings as assigned by the principal.
Serves as a representative at district meetings and committees as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of district handbooks, rules, regulations, district phone log and office referrals; thorough skill preparing or processing attendance records and staff communications.
General skill preparing or processing behavior reports, suspension forms, student files and parent communication letters; general skill operating standard office computer equipment and applicable hardware and software.
Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to perform some troubleshooting when operating standard office hardware and software; ability to perform job functions under a high level of stress while maintaining collected emotion levels; ability to effectively communicate with staff, students and parents both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain working relationships with associates, parents, students and community members.Education and Experience
Master’s degree in school administration, education leadership, or related field and extensive experience working in behavior intervention, building management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Requirements
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, frequently requires standing and walking and occasionally requires sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel and lifting; work requires close vision and distance vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions, exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and exposure to bodily fluids; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).Special Requirements
Valid Minnesota teaching license.
Administrative licensure or current attendee in a licensure program.
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting and with diverse groups of people preferred.
Alternatives to the qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable will also be considered.

Expected salary: $78000 – 91000 per year
