Job description: Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced and motivated Data and Software Developer who is ready to take their career to the next level. The perfect candidate would have a passion for building and maintaining high quality databases, reports, and software applications that answers the demands of a fast-growing company, would have proven problem solving and organizational skills, and would enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a tight-knit and talented team.This is a remote position with occasional visits to our New York office as needed.Salary range: $105,000 – $140,000What you will do:
- Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes for the Data Warehouse.
- Design, create and maintain tables, views, and stored procedures in the Data Warehouse and other databases.
- Develop and maintain data migration and import/export utilities.
- Collaborate with business units to automate reporting needs using Power BI.
- Create and optimize SQL queries; create and maintain data transformation processes in Azure Data Factory, C#, and Power Query.
- Participate in development practices subject to DFS regulations.
- Create documentation and participate in code reviews.
- Integrate with third-party API specifications to import and export data.
What you will bring:Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5+ years of professional C# experience.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL experience in writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex queries.
- Solid experience with developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting database queries and objects on the Microsoft SQL Server platform.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
- Experience using source control tools, preferably GIT.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and work-tracking tools, such as Jira.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with secure development practices (Sarbanes Oxley, NY-DFS, etc.).
- Solid communication skills and ability to communicate with non-technical business stakeholders.
Preferred
- Knowledge of P&C Insurance industry, product, and rating.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Experience with ADO.Net, Dapper, and Entity Framework.
- Some experience with ASP.Net Core, C#, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
